My name is Noelle, and I am a high school student who is currently conducting psychology research at LIU Post. I am conducting a research study called "Feedback and Mood." This study will examine the types of feedback people need to hear when they are making attempts to complete a specific task. You must be over 18 years of age to participate, and I will need approximately 15-20 minutes of your time. You will be asked to complete a few surveys on psychology, with questions being asked about yourself and your personality. After that, you'll be given a quick math question, with feedback based on the accuracy of your answer. This study is completely voluntary, and any question that you don't feel comfortable answering can be left blank. This study is anonymous. Your name will not be included on any form or questionnaire, and I will not be looking at anyone's individual results. Instead, I will be looking to find patterns across everyone's results.
Data collected may be destroyed at the end of a legally prescribed period of time of three years. There are no anticipated risks with participating in the current study. Although there are no direct benefits to you, the results may be of benefit to the field of psychology.
