Welcome to Conley's Little Critters Preschool and Child Care
A little bit about Jodi
I received my child care license in 2011. I worked at a well known preschool here in Fort Collins for 3 years then decided to start my own home child care business after my second daughter was born. In 2012 my business got put on hold for a year while my second daughter went through treatment for brain cancer.
My third daughter was born in 2014 and life hasn't slowed down since. I received my Experienced Home license in 2018 allowing for more flexibility with ages and ratios of children up to 9 kids. I also maintain my CNA license to help with medically special needs kiddos. I have always loved caring for children and enjoy helping them get ready for a lifelong love of learning.
Starting in 2020 I began homeschooling and child care has been limited to just 2 children. We co-op with Paideia Classical Community once a week. Our daily education has shifted to meet the needs of both young and school age. The older girls love to participate in our morning routines, games and their personalized education is more focused during nap time in the afternoon.
In 2025 I transitioned CLC to become a legally unlicensed child care home. I’m so grateful for the kind feedback from parents who love the smaller, more personal group setting—especially for little ones in the birth-to-two-year-old range. With my background in special needs and medical care, I’m able to offer extra peace of mind. With just my youngest child at home for homeschooling and no more than four children in my care, I’m able to slow down, give each child my full attention, and offer extra love and focus to the infants entrusted to me.
A Gentle Start for Your Little One’s Bright Future
Preschool time is from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. We use a play and faith based curriculum catered to the children that are in care. By doing this each child gets to work on their level of ability while exploring, learning, and remembering it in their own way. We gather inspiration through Montessori style learning which feeds into a Classical Education very easily. During Preschool we also include a snack, lunch, recess, and occasional field trip or special guest. On a regular basis we like to go to the library, park or natural area just down the street. Throughout the year we will include trips to museums, grocery stores, parks, farms and other places to learn about our community.
We believe in the value of Biblical teaching as well as preschool learning. Conley's Little Critters is a Christ centered educational program. And we welcome non-believer and believers alike.
We focus on the younger kids ages 0-4 years old. We help infants with milestones transitions like breast to bottle or sleep training. Toddlers work on social emotional skills and toileting. We encourage pre kinder students with beginning reading skills. All in a positive atmosphere that encourages independence and curiosity.
Every child who has remained in our program through kindergarten has entered school already able to read, write their name, and confidently use scissors and other fine-motor tools. They demonstrate kindness, social politeness, and encouragement toward others—and are often recognized as being ahead of typical developmental milestones for their age. We also help students when milestones are not being met to get help early with referrals to early intervention when necessary.
