TRB Conduct of Research (CoR) Committee Scope
The Conduct of Research Committee serves to increase the quality and effectiveness of transportation research by supporting and facilitating improved research planning and management processes. It promotes improved coordination between those who sponsor and conduct research and those who implement research products. It assists the Transportation Research Board in its role of stimulating research and serving as a national clearinghouse for research activities.

RPPM is a joint effort of the TRB Conduct of Research (CoR) Committee, the AASHTO Research Advisory Committee (RAC), and the USDOT’s Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA).

  • Barbara Harder Designated as an Emeritus Member of CoR During Annual Meeting Over 30 years of service as a TRB committee member, Barbara Harder was named an emeritus member of CoR during January's annual meeting in Washington D.C. Harder has served 20 of those years as a CoR member, including 6 as co-chair. Her leadership achievements include co-lead for Ahead of the Curve: Mastering the Art of Transportation Research Management; Triennial Strategic Plans in 2009, 2012, and 2015; subcommittee chair for international activities goal area (2009-2012) and service to TRB goal areas (2012-present); and section chair on Research and Education Membership as well as Management and Finance. In addition, Harder has an extensive publication history, she's the current liasion from CoR to Tech Transfer Committee ...
