Selecting Conant Band Parents Club Officer Nominees for the 2014–2015 school year.
Conant Band Parents Club Nominations For 2014–2015 School Year
One of the most important duties of the membership is the election of officers. Officers should be chosen for their abilities and willingness to serve. Members who are elected to serve should be familiar with the Conant Band Parents Club and the qualifications for each office.
The Nominating Committee will present a slate of officers to elect for the 2014–15 school year at the May 5 Conant Band Parents Club Meeting. We need to fill the position of secretary, although all positions are up for re-election.
Below is a brief description of duties:
President – Presides at all Conant Band Parents Club meetings; see all orders and resolutions are carried out; actively manage the business of the club; serve as a member on all committees as needed; only vote in case of a tie.
Vice President – Serve as an aide to or perform the duties of the President in the event that the President is absent or unable to perform his/her duties; will assume special assignments as directed by the President; responsible for maintaining the bylaws.
Treasurer – Maintains all Conant Band Parents Club financial records and reports; processes bank deposits, checks, monthly reports, budgets and tax filing; file end of fiscal year budget report; annually present the books for audit.
Secretary – Records and maintains minutes of all meetings; will handle all correspondence for the club; will chair audit committee.
