Cerebellum games removed) SSDF = Tuned to prefer SSDF 40/120's openings, played by Top enginesTCEC = Based on decent high-rated chess engine games (played in TCEC)TWIC = Optimized to prefer the openings played by many TWIC booksVarious = Based on Alex1976, CK, Critter, G-SEI, HS-Master, PHCEL etc.• For maximum performance/strength (while I was tuning each based book):- I enabled as main move: the wins, also as alternative the draws for playing- To be more clear, the defeats are removed from Standard opening books...• Total size of Standard based books is approx. 220 MB (in compressed size) That means, all of them are too small in size, av. 11 MB per opening book• In Professional: 8 cores/game, where in Standard: 6 cores are played The Elo differences between many cores can be viewed: Deep Brain
Tournament Details• Firstly, new entries will be tested (in Gauntlet mode) in Standard tour In short, new entrants will be played vs Standard's books (200 games)• Any opening book, which will manage to perform with 55% and more Winning percentage, will be as Qualified player for the Professional tour E.g Standard's based books are small in size/tuned mainly up to 8-10 moves I mean, these tiny ones are critical, full of holes, especially after 8 moves So I think a well hand-tuned deep opening book should be easily pass 55% E.g, in XXXX Pro plus in the recent XXXVII (and even up to 15 moves) Several Top book authors are managed to do that...and now why not you? Just because it is hard.. it does not mean to give up...try again and again...! However, please don't take too seriously the played results, just fun tours...• Professional stage's participants will consist min 400 games (per player)• Any Pro Book Leader (after. 400 games...) will be titled as Champion The titles (as Champions) will be awarded only in the Professional stage• As usual, all books are playing by same engine: Brainfish 151019 C40 For each book player is installed a separate copy of Brainfish engine exe And why I used to play especially this vers. of Brainfish with cont. 40 ? Simply because, according to my testings: it's a quite strong engine! Plus, produces approx. 10% lower draw percentage than many other SF...• Chessbase (ctg) main book settings: Learning ON, Optimized, 0/100 Exc. other book settings can be used by Author's recommendations Btw, please take a screenshot (in case of request other than Opt. 0/100)• Polyglot (bin) books will be played with best book move as disabled... E.g, Bin vs Bin match (BM ON) usually play 2 exactly same openings Just imagine, many games (each other) absolutely identical openings• As graphical chess interfaces used: Fritz 12, Fritz 13, Fritz 14 GUIs That means, a few separate Chessbase GUIs are played (in same time) I don't prefer newer ChessBase ones, such as Fritz 15, Fritz 16 GUIs... Due to 'Book Learning' does not work in Gauntlet, Round-Robin mode
More DetailsBoth tourneys formats are close to League system, but slightly differentThe idea of running such kind of book tournaments is born in XXXVII And exc. the frequent used / played trend openings... this time let's see,Which are the best / strongest deep private opening books in overall ?!As stated earlier (for more fair conditions), I believe the best way to run:Private vs Private or Available vs Available, but however I realized that,The Available books to be not included in the current running active tours...Due to 1st. Available books have no much BIG chances to be as Champion2nd. The next Private entries probably will be well-tuned vs Available ones 3rd. In case of qualifying the Available ones in Pro tournament, that means:Last/later entered Private books can gain more points vs Available booksSo these factors can be a clear advantage for next Private entries, otherwise:All books (Private+Available) should be created in very close date of time...For these reasons,XXXX Pro's target will be to be played only Private vs Private books! Thanks for your understanding...and for your interest...!

Best Wishes, Sedat Canbaz
