General Rules

•Each participant (chess engine) must be based mainly on own original work/ideas

•Chess engines with +51% similarity are not allowed, exception will be in case of:

-Which are approx. +100 Elo stronger than based original chess engine, for details

•It’s allowed only 1 (one) active participant per chess engine programmer

•In case of often bugs (loose on time, crashes) the engine will be changed

For Better Engine Performance

•All participated engines are played with maximum cores (allmost all with 36 cores)

•Perfect 2016a opening book is played with Book Learning ON (under Fritz GUI)

*Due to Learning ON: For each player is installed separately copy of P2016 book

•As far as possible, various strong short openings are preferred and used, for details

•So far, the participated chess engines are 64 bit/Bmi2 versions (where available)

•LIVE broadcasting tools (e.g publish tournament results on web) are not used

*LIVE tools (on same PCs) damage the engine's speed performance, for details

•Unnecessary programs and services are disabled to run in the background

•It is not installed any program or utility to tray in the Taskbar (Start-up)

•SCCT tournament computers are used only for chess and daily ShutDown

•Internet connection is disabled as protecting from any kind of threads

•No clicking with mouse, no typing... (when the tournament is active)

Time Control / Statistic Details

•The used rapid time control: 15 Minutes/Game + 3 Seconds/Move (per side)

•Average Move Length (per game): 65 Moves / Average Game Length: 36 Min

More Details

•Komodo 10.1 is played with modificated settings (Contempt: 0 / Overhead ms: 100)

•Note that in case of using large Tablebases, mostly of the chess engines play stronger

*Also the engines with a well-optimized book + deeper opening lines play stronger too

*But however, (for less draws) I set 4-Men TBs and short book in openings, due to:

– As a neutral TD, I want to see the 'real' playing strength of the Top chess engines
