Last Update: 12.05.2022

Hello Chess Friends,

As usual, I am pleased to announced that,

Here are another new NNUE competitions of 3700+

And these kind of new tour series are different than all!

As participants,

Main target: testing latest releases of 2022, Total: 17 engines!

Btw, I apologize that I missed to test Polyfish (by Khalid Omar)

And as usual, almost all BMI2 and played via default EvalFiles

To be more clear

I've realized to run many separate tournaments: Bullet and Blitz

Where 2 different Balsa suite used: up to 5 Moves / av. 8-10 Moves

And as alternative, I tested the current engines without books too

For Bullet time controls: 64 MB Hash used, for Blitz: 128 MB hash

In short, let's see what are the influences under new test conditions...

E.g the openings are played any BIG factor, plus the time controls ?

Ok.. here are the new results and you can download all GAMES

Overall Ranking (All in One) - My Congratulations to all Winners!

More Details:

Best in overall performance are latest Stockfish and based ones...

However, it's clear that no much Elo progress since many months

And now I wonder: who will pay my electricity bills? just joking...))

In case of comparing which standings are more close to overall:

Balsa 5 or 10 Moves (30s+0.5s), Balsa 5 Moves (2m+1s) are closer

Actually all rest rankings can be counted not so far from the overall

Exception the ranking with No Book (1min + 0.5sec) and it seems

Many SF engines suffer...due to theirs own opening code is quite

Limited and many of them prefer to play similar and critical openings

And I think that as main reason about why they performed worse...

Where with No Book: Kayra 1.3 engine seems to be the strongest!

And with No Book, Proteus ranked higher..probably learning helped

But via Balsa openings, the situation is different.. SF PB is best !)

Crystal in Game-Play suffers, but as Tactics solver is best Results

In other words, once we noticed: there is no any perfect engine

But this is also true: we have great engines, where many benefit..

And if I caused to help a little bit over these issues how happy I'm

The database has no any game lost on time, it seems all stable!

Ok...that's all for now and thank you for your interest...have fun )

Best,

Sedat
