I've organized new series of Duel Matches...

As last Duel Revenge: Kayra Vs Stockfish

Some Notes about 1st Duel,

I picked the latest Stockfish official release, the main reason:

Due to I have bad experience with Stockfish 171221: Details

To be honest,

Both Top engines are quite stable...no any game lost on time..GREAT!

And well-done, nowadays is hard to find so strong and to be so stable...

Btw, once more (for anyone missed), I have to admit that:

Kayra is a SF based engine, created by Mehmet Karaman

No doubt that, he is another great talent in out hobby, e.g:

• Exception in this Duel as Kayra engine as best / strongest

• Kayra (even in Bullet) is with best performance: Results

• Again Kayra performed with best performance: Results

• Kayra is one of best in position solvings too: Results

• Via Mr. Mehmet's settings, Lc0 managed to win: Results

• About 10 years ago, Kayra2 setting is strongest: Results

• Even as new in book making, his Hubble rated 3674 Elo

In other words,

Instead for looking for 'holes' over Mr. Mehmet's work

Definitely we need more 'heroes' as him...hope helps!

One thing more, this should be known as well,

If we are looking for 100% original chess engine....

Then in my opinion, there is no such thing..

Perhaps we have to go back to 1950s years...

The 1st chess machine can be counted ...

But nowadays...as far as I am aware:

Every chess engine is each other based...

Do you know too?

How many chess engines are based on Rybka's ideas ?

I think that, the answer is not so hard.. just you have to check

2009 - 2010 years (especially on days after IPPO releases..)

Which are the ones, which managed to increase their Elo points?

And how many chess engine programmers..?

Can give us detailed info...yes, I learned/copied from IPPO (Rybka)

So far.. unfortunately I did read nowhere...but the reality is reality...

Ok...let's come back to current Duel, and here the played results:

Kayra 1.0 is performed clearly 6 Elo better than Stockfish 14.1

1 Kayra 1.0 +16/-5/=579 50.92% 305.5/600

2 Stockfish 14.1 +5/-16/=579 49.08% 294.5/600

More Details

The overall Draw percentage (based on 600 games): is high: 96%

Both chess engines played as NNUE (used their default Evalfiles)

AVX2 engine versions have been used for the current Duel match

More Details:

• 2x E5-2686, ArenaGUI, 4 Core/Game, 2m+1s, Balsa, 512MB Hash, 4MEN

• For maximum performance and strength:

- Both participants played via Ponder ON, plus newer Balsa opening suite

- Parallel matches, but for each GUI is installed a separate copy of engine

- BMI2 engine versions are used and played with their default EvalFiles

• The current overall draw percentage (based on 240 games) is high 97%
