Participant Details• For all players are installed separately folder of engines (each book used different engine.exe)• All books generated from same database (41861 high-quality GMs games, average 2700 Elo)• The participated books are carefully tuned to use the openings played by Top GM players, e.g:- WomenChamp is tuned to use the openings by Muzychuk, Hou, Ushenina, Kosteniuk, Stefanova- The rest individual books are optimized to use the openings played by various Top chess players* Note: Each book is tuned to play mainly the won games (played at Classic, Rapid, Blitz tourneys)* Exception: Some opening books are tuned to play also the draws (due to not many played games)* In Short: it seems, the current played openings are highly close to Top chess players opening styles• All opening books are in ChessBase (CTG) format, the books depth are mainly up to 12 moves* But however, some of the opening lines are improved and enabled to play deeper than 12 moves• The used 3 engines (Komodo, Stockfish, Sugar) are very close/equal in Elo strength to each other• As usual, I believe in that: the used openings played a BIG role in the current exiting book tourneys
Just I'd like to inform you that,I organized a new tour:Book Championship VIIIh, where this time I used only World Champion booksThe participants are played by various engines (approx. 700 Elo weaker than Stockfish, Komodo, Sugar)Note: Before starting VIIIh, all books are newly installed (due to the books were learned from previous tour)According to available data, the tested 24 engines are similar in Elo strength as GMs of av. 2700-2800 EloFrom my experience, the real Elo difference of 24 engines are minus plus 50 Elo (between each other)So for a better comparing....we should concentrate over Book Championship VIIIg, at least the participatedTop 3 engines are very close in Elo strength to each other, therefore the openings played the biggest factor..
To be honest,I am impressed a lot by Kramnik, Polgar, Kasimdzhanov's openings: excellent performance in the tours!Also very strong openings by Euwe, Topalov, Keres, Grischuk, Spassky, Mamedyarov, Kamsky, Radjabov...
