General Rules•Each participant (chess engine) must be based mainly on own original work/ideas•Chess engines with +51% similarity are not allowed, exception will be in case of:-Which are approx. +100 Elo stronger than based original chess engine, for details*Here are some chess engines with +51% similarity to Rybka 3 engine, for details•Due to no much free time:-As far as possible, Top 20 chess engines are planning to be as active players•It’s allowed only 1 (one) active participant per chess engine programmer•In case of often bugs (loose on time, crashes etc...) the engine will be changedFor Better Engine Performance•All chess engines are played with Ponder ON (thinking in the opponent’s time)*Ponder ON performs approx.20-100 Elo stronger than Ponder OFF, for details•Perfect 2016 book is played with Book Learning ON (under Fritz, Shredder GUIs)*Due to Learning ON: For each player is installed separately copy of P2016 book•As far as possible, various strong short openings are preferred / used, for details•Mostly of the participated engines are 64 bit/SSE versions (sure where available)•LIVE broadcasting tools (e.g publish tournament results on web) are not used*LIVE tools (on same PCs) damage the engine's speed performance, for details•Unnecessary programs and services are disabled to run in the background•It is not installed any program or utility to tray in the Taskbar (Start-up)•SCCT tournament computers are used only for chess and daily ShutDown•Internet connection is disabled as protecting from any kind of threads•No clicking with mouse, no typing... (when the tournament is active)
Time Control / Statistic Details•The current used blitz time control: 3 minutes/game + 1 second/move (per side)*Also the rating database includes games with 3 minutes/game + 2 seconds/move•There are 999 games lost on time (based on 114949 games 15.11.2011- 05.10.2016)•For more accurate standings: all double games are removed from current blitz rating•The General Statistics (calculated by EloStat 1.3 program) can be viewed at 'here'•SCCT's Average Move Length (per game): 65 Moves / Average Game Length: 8 Min
