More Details: • The ranking is a quite good indicator of which are best engines in position solving * PTS (pure test suite) contains 800 epd positions, available for downloading: PTS * The suite is based on various sources (includes mainly openings, tactics, endgames) • PTS official ranking includes only: 1) Strongest (best) chess engine versions 2) Engines, which are with up to 55% similarity * Exception there is for (e.g close in similarity with + 55%): - Only one X based engine, in case of +10 points better than original chess engine * Synapse RZ6.5, asmFish, Klasman) managed to do that...why not other engine/s?! * And due to rules, only Synapse's results are published in the main official ranking * Otherwise, PTS ranking will contain many Fruit / Stockfish / Rybka based engines * Btw, the engines which couldn't qualify... can be viewed from this link: Standings • Almost all the analyzed engines are 64 bit (Bmi2, POPCNT used where available) • Stockfish (+ many SF based engines), Ginkgo, Protector are used Polyglot adapter * Strange indeed...almost daily SF releases, but this BUG issue is still not fixed, e.g: - Stockfish (+ many SF based ones) crashes in automatic analysis, not very often, but.. • As alternaive GUI, some of the analyzed engines are tested under Arena v2.01 * Due to I've noticed crashes under Arena 3.5.1 (e.g Komodo is one of them...) • The average total time of test duration (per engine) takes approx. 120 minutes
