Call for Tutorial Proposals

ACM COMPUTE 2015

We solicit proposals for tutorials for presentation at the 2015 COMPUTE conference. Tutorials may cover areas aligned with the main tracks of the conference or new areas of computational sciences which are of interest to large sections of the relevant community. Each tutorial will be assigned a 2-hour slot. Proposals must include enough detail to provide a sense of the scope and depth of the material to be covered. Tutorial sessions should be preferably interactive and complemented with demonstrations or hands-on activities.

Proposals for tutorials should be submitted in Word/PDF format (not to exceed 4 pages) and consist of the following information:

1.      Title of the tutorial

2.      Outline of the tutorial content and format

3.      Name(s), designation(s) and contact information of the presenter(s)

4.      Motivation for having the tutorial for the conference (why the content is relevant)

5.      Information on any similar tutorial conducted by the presenter(s) earlier

6.      Brief resume of presenter(s)

7.      Any pre-requisites required for attending the tutorial

8.     Any special requirements for conducting the tutorial, such as laptops/computers, servers etc.

9.     Intended duration of the tutorial (2 hours or 4 hours)

Submissions

·         Tutorial Proposal Submission Deadline – July 10, 2015

·         Tutorial Selection Results Date – August 14, 2015
