Original Artwork by Joan Richardson
Artist Joan Richardson paints strictly to benefit animals.

Welcome to my website.

Two of my great loves are my love for animals and my love for painting.

The money from the sale of these paintings goes directly to the animal rescue group listing with each painting.

Art is a very personal thing for the artist and the buyer.  Many of the paintings are paintings of our own rescued animals and a history of some are given below.  I also have a great concern for farm animals that have been shown to be intelligent, have emotional capability and experience empathy and have great social capacity.

I  find a certain painting speaks to a person because of that personal connection.  For example: "Toby looks just like my little sheltie I once had."  Or, "I once had an orange cat like Sunny Boy."

Paintings of farm animals are no difference and have the same personal appeal, "I love donkeys" or  "Pigs are my favorite."
