Classes developed under the Community Education Project are based on free thinking and respect for the student as an equal participant in the learning process. Education is viewed primarily as self-education and so we want to develop this spirit of lifelong learning and intellectual aspiration for everyone.

Such classes emphasize developing self-confidence and self-esteem, intellectual curiosity, a love of books and reading, the development of aesthetic appreciation, respect for others and all sentient beings.

Such classes also teach peace, tolerance, and individual peaceful acts of kindness and respect for all people.

Such classes seek to dispel ignorance and common social prejudice and foster empathy and compassion.

Teachers in the program will be given training in effective and enlightened pedagogy.
