Coinage in a Time of Fiat Money

An old controversy is gradually subjugating all of the developed world under the control of the global banking system.  The issue of how the money supply is created is at the heart of this struggle.  The tip of this issue is discussed in the attached paper by Fullwiler.  This paper should be essential reading for anyone - especially any who are going to try to do proactive long term work in infrastructure style aspects of our economy.

The essence of debt is the constant focus of the debtor on short term activity.  This is completely debilitating for any without continuous excess discretionary income (in a word the very rich or those directly connected with a fractional reserve bank).

We have been revisited by the despotic rule of bank created currency that the American Revolution sought to avoid.  There is much to read to understand the depth of this malaise.  A good place to start is Ellen Brown's collection of papers at http://webofdebt.com.  A list of books follows:
WEB OF DEBT - Ellen Brown
THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF BENJAMIN FRANKLIN
CONFESSIONS OF AN ECONOMIC HIT MAN - John Perkins
THE GREAT DISRUPTION - Paul Gilding
NEMESIS - Chalmers Johnson
BLOOD AND OIL - Michael Klare
BITCOIN: A PEER-TO-PEER ELECTRONIC CASH - Satoshi Nakamoto
SNAKES IN SUITS - Paul Babiak
THE SECRET HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN EMPIRE - John Perkins
