039 of 365 - January 21, 2009 - Candy Display for Valentines Day 2009
Yup it's already time to begin planning for Valentine's Day! This display was at my local Kroger and I chose this to be the picture of the day for no other reason than I love peanut M & M's! I took a lot of pictures of the many bunches of the foil balloons, but I just couldn't get the shot right and I had perishables in my cart. I need to start thinking about what I'm going to do this year for my sweet hubby. Please share ideas. In the past Valentines Day has included shrimp for dinner, cheesecake for dessert, a small bag of chocolate truffles, balloons, roses, champagne, candlelight, soft music and me in lingerie. Looking for something different because I don't want to be so predictable, although he would probably never complain. Because Valentines Day, his birthday, our anniversary, and my birthday happen in the short period of 6 weeks, I have tried to focus on the romantic aspect of this holiday."Also, with men, there's a preference...
...toward comfort food that's a little more healthy, like meat, pasta and potatoes. Women choose things like chips, cookies, chocolate and cake." Brian Wansink I have no idea from what context the quote originated but I found it simply because it contained the word, 'pasta'. I thought this cute little pasta just needed to be photographed prior to cooking some the other night. This little bow tie pasta looks like it has formed a pucker for kissing...don't you think? Or has this Valentine's theme just gone to my head? Each day this week there will be a different image to carry the theme!
