Photography load bearing system
Photography load bearing system
The system I've used for UrbEx as well as for event photography. Based on an Arktis USA product, Camelbak attached to the back, small pouch with batteries attached to the lower back, Kamera with strobe and orbis on the front, additional two lenses and strobe as well as things in the four side pockets. The camera is attached via clip-on connectors from OpTech. A rocket blower is dangling on the back, right side. Depending on the type of project I'm shooting some additional stuff can be attached to the system (poncho as weather protection, first aid kit, additional pouches, backpack / rucksack [detaching the camelbak first], monopod attached to the back, battery pack for the strobe can be attached on the lower belt on the back. Sport belt for securely holding the camera in place while climbing, running (or lets say: moving faster :-). Carrying a second camera on the harness is possible, although I usually prefer not doing so. Used this system the last three years on the world bodypainting festival and during a number of UrbEx excursions. Love how the weight is evenly distributed without hurting neck, shoulders and back. Everything seems to be in place. Picture has been shot as an illustration for a blogpost.
Bad product photography
Bad product photography
It's not that the products are bad but the photography leaves a little to be desired. I've got a home made lightbox but it's really not a good design. I need to invest in some proper lighting and such to make this work. The worst part is that someone is paying me to shoot this, albeit very little. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist and this is far from perfection. Very frustrating. I know exactly what I need to make this work but simply don't have the equipment. Anyway, rant terminated.
