Kentucky's Bloody Past
Regions throughout the United States live with the idea that they live in a good community with a nice history. Some Kentuckians, however,  are finding out that their history isn't so nice. Researchers have found that 1/3 cities have a gory past. For example, the state's capitol city was the home town of the real-life Dr. Franfortstien, who experimented on corpses and caused a city wide fire, killing hundreds. Burnside Kentucky was known for a rash of arson attacks in the 50's that lasted over 4 years. Also Morehead Kentucky, home of Morehead State University, got its start from a public execution craze in 1803 where criminals were beheaded, leaving the excited masses chanting "More heads! More heads!"
