TOLERANCE IN MODERN EUROPE (T.I.M.E)

It is a Multilateral School Partnership Project which is part of Comenius Programme and it is financed by Lifelong Learning Programme.

It starts on September, 1st, 2011 and it lasts till July, 31st, 2013.

The aim of our project is to  increase the students’ desire to know different nations, cultures and religions  and establish  durable and friendly relationships in the future as the T.I.M.E. has come for Tolerance In Modern Europe.


Partner Schools are:

  • “SF. VINERI” SCHOOL, PLOIESTI, ROMANIA- Coordinator
  •   VILANI SECONDARY SCHOOL, LATVIA
  •   INSTITUT DE LA PROVIDENCE, GOSSELIES, BELGIUM


The main objectives of the project:

  • To promote better knowledge and mutual awareness of religious,cultural and historical events that will contribute to becoming open to cultural diversity.
  • To contribute to the knowledge of national and religious holidays in partner countries
  • To promote interculturality and interdisciplinarity by getting various teachers involved in carrying out different activities
  • To promote the principle of intercultural learning through non-formal education in a multicultural environment focusing on local and European values

 

RESULTS AND OUTCOMES:

  • Implementing a questionnaire which is meant to assess our students level of tolerance towards other religions, cultures, customs and traditions;
  • Project website;
  • The project logo and poster;
  • A dictionary with key words related to tolerance;
  • ABC survival guide containing the most common phrases in English and mother tongue; 
  • An interactive map with information about the ethnic and religious groups, tourist and cultural places;
  • A calendar of national and religious holidays in each country;
  • Photo albums;
  • CD and DVD containing activities from project meetings and activities.
