In the project six schools from the Czech Republic, Spain,Turkey, France, Portugal and Italy are going to enhance the European dimension of education by promoting joint cooperation activities between them. Partnership aim is to study various aspects of production and consumption of energy, with emphasis on the sustained management of resources and on environmental risks, to build a realistic attitude towards them, to measure energy consumption, and to propose how to cut down on it. |
First, students will do on-line researches on national energy/coal/oil/gas/uranium resources. Afterwards, they will present, compare and contrast the results of the countries involved. They will discuss problems of the sustained management of resources and a common questionnaire on resources aspects will be prepared and used in all countries. Students will meet energy experts and visit power stations, heating plants, energy saving houses/factories etc. They will take their own measurements of energy/electricity/heat consumption and suggest ways of reducing it at home and at school.

Besides their managing work, teachers will prepare CLIL lessons and/or e-learning didactic units with a topic of energy. Each school will put its results on its project website. The common work and above all six project meetings will teach the participants about countries and their cultures, improve the language knowledge, motivate them to study languages, and contribute to building new Europe. |
