Quilting Bees

We have several "bee groups" within the Columbine quilt Guild.  We have been exploring various ideas for future and present bees and their projects.  The following ideas are for possible bee groups:
  1. Mother & Daughter (or Grandmother & Granddaughters) to meet on Saturday or Sunday
  2. Show & Tell & Consult
  3. Bee with Newly Arrived Immigrants
  4. Bee at a VA facility
  5. Bee in a Long Term Care facility
  6. Teaching youth to quilt / sew
  7. Quilters new to Arvada

  9. Machine quilting.  Share or rent a machine by the hour and learn how to quilt on a long arm.
  10. Miniatures
  11. EQ 5-7
  12. Bakers - those who love using honeybuns, jelly rolls, cakes, etc. can combine with a Strippers group
  13. Paper piecing

  16. Sergers - working with and learning about

2016 Quilts of Valor Bee

This bee meets on the 3rd Monday of each month - January 16, 2016 - at 9:00 am until @ Noon at:

St. Bernadette Church
7240 W 12th Ave.
Lakewood, CO.
January focus is to have projects assembled so they can be handed out at the February Guild meeting - which is also our Sew In.
We also request if you know of a service member deserving of one of our quilts, please let us know.  It's wonderful to be able to present a quilt to a local family member or friend.  Thanks!
