General Information:

Columbine Girls High School Coaches, or one of their designated representatives manage all facets of their respective Gold Crown teams including COMMUNICATION, team formation, tryouts, practice and game schedules. 

Tryouts are open to boys and girls in grades 5-8.  Players must attend the tryouts to be considered for a team and should have a parent/guardian present.  Players living in the respective high school boundaries receive priority for assignment to competitive teams.  The Gold Crown guidelines require that a minimum of 60% of the players on each team must be within the high school boundaries.

Grades:  5th – 8th grade girls.

Tryout Dates, Times and Locations:

Tryouts take place every August. Tryout registration begins July 15th every years.

Team Formation and Rosters:  Team formation is determined by the Columbine Girls Head Varsity Coach or designated representative.  All decisions are final.  

Game and Practice Schedules: Game and practice schedules will be sent to all participants several weeks prior to the start of practice and games by the Columbine Girls Head Varsity Coach or designated representative.

Cost: $340 per player - $180 will be paid at time of registration and $160 will be paid directly to Gold Crown.  For the 2017-18 season, Gold Crown will require all players to additionally register on the Gold Crown site. Information regarding registration on the Gold Crown site will be sent to all players who make a team by the Columbine Gold Crown Director.

This fee does NOT include uniforms.  Players who do NOT make a Gold Crown team will be placed on a team participating in the AYL league and they will be refunded the cost difference.  If the player declines the position on a team participating in the AYL league, they will be refunded their registration fee less a $35 non-refundable processing fee.

Uniforms:  Uniforms for Columbine Gold Crown teams are paid for separately.  Ordering and purchasing information will be provided to participants by the Columbine Gold Crown representative for each program.

Athletes in the Columbine matriculation area must try out for a Columbine Gold Crown team.  South Jeffco Premier Basketball does not manage Gold Crown teams for Chatfield or Dakota Ridge High Schools.
