I am a physicist with over 10 years' experience in effective science communication, education, and professional development. I was previously at the Exploratorium Museum of Science, and in the physics education research group in the physics department at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I'm the K12 outreach coordinator for the Learn More About Climate project in the outreach office at CU-Boulder, who is generously donating my time to this project. In my spare time, I write in my sciencegeekgirl blog.
Contact me with any questions about the project, at email@example.com.
I have been teaching Physical and
Environmental Science at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins since 1988
and have been involved with many science project collaborations at Colorado
State University over the last decade.
Specific to climate science, I have worked with the K-12 Education Outreach
for the Center for Multiscale Modeling of Atmospheric Processes (CMMAP) and the
NASA Northern Colorado GCCE project with the Natural Resources Ecology
Laboratory (NREL). Additional
programs include the NSF GK-12 program Human
Impacts on the Front Range and an NSF Math and Science Partnership titled Culturally Relevant Ecology, Learning
Progressions, and Environmental Literacy also with NREL. Additional programs include the GetWET
Laboratory with the Education and Outreach Center as well as a cook stove
project with the Engines and Energy Conversion Laboratory, both at CSU. Feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or also at Rocky Mountain High School, 970-488-7222
