SUMMER 2017 CLASSES

English GED Classes

 

·       Central: An activity-based curriculum.

Registration

o   When? May 30th from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

o   Where? In the Penthouse on the 1st floor

General Class Info

o   First day of class? June 6th

o   Class days? Tuesdays (science/ss), Wednesday (math), and Thursday (RLA) from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

 

·       Dallas West: A class focused on language arts and social studies. The next semester will cover math and science. (semesters are cyclical)

Registration

o   When? June 1st from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

o   Where? Classrooms 1 & 2

General Class Info

o   First day of class? June 6th

o   Class Days? Tuesdays (RLA) and Thursdays (SS) from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

 

·       Lochwood: One of two workshop locations. This class focuses on content areas students miss most frequently for language arts and math.

Registration

o   There is no registration for this class. Students will register on the first day and jump straight into content.

o   Aimed at previously registered students, but any and all are welcome. We will not turn anyone away, so feel free to advertise this class.  

o   There will be no pre-test, as this class is significantly harder, and we are going by the assumption that students are starting at the “somewhat prepared” level.

o   Class days? Wednesdays (RLA) and Thursdays (Math) from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Dallas County Community College District will have summer GED classes at our college locations.


Literacy Instruction for Texas, LIFT is open for the summer!

 

LIFT has day and evening GED classes beginning this week through August 17.  We offer rolling enrollment.

 Students may choose from Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday classes.

 LIFT offers 4 different levels of instruction so that students are placed in the class that’s best for their level of knowledge.

Contact LIFT at 214-824-2000 to schedule an appointment and get started right away. LIFT is open Monday – Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
