*This page will be updated as coaches are confirmed.

We are proud to have coaches return year after year! Our coaches are all technically skilled and experienced players who come from a variety of backgrounds. Our hope is that all campers leave with improved skills, new friendships and a love for the game. Coaches aim to inspire campers by sharing their volleyball skills, knowledge and passion for the game many of them have been playing for years!

Amanda Estes, Camp Director
Camp Director Amanda Estes has plenty of experience playing and coaching volleyball. She was the starting setter at Dominican University for four years, where she received multiple All-Conference honors. Following her collegiate career, she served as an assistant coach for Dominican. She has since coached the varsity girls teams at Terra Linda, Marin Academy, Branson, and Marin Catholic in addition to the Redwood boys varsity team. She served as the camp director and founder of the Branson, Marin Catholic, and Marin Academy volleyball camps for almost fifteen years. Amanda also has coached ten club seasons at various age levels for Marin Juniors. When not in the gym, Amanda is in her seventeenth year as teacher in the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District. Amanda loves the game of volleyball, continues to play recreational, and can't wait to meet the new group of campers this summer.

Susan Huffman

Susan is a native of Houston, Texas, where she was a standout high school athlete receiving All-State honors in both volleyball and basketball.

After high school, Susan continued playing volleyball as an outside hitter and a middle blocker at Division I Baylor University for her first two collegiate seasons and then at NCAA Division I University of Oklahoma for her final two seasons.  At the University of Oklahoma, she earned All-Big 8 Conference honors and was named the Sooner’s Most Valuable Player in 1991.

Following college, Susan was the assistant coach at NCAA Division I University of Nevada in Reno.  She accepted the head coaching position at Dominican University in San Rafael in 1995.  While at Dominican University, Susan led the Dominican team to two California Pacific Conference titles and was twice named California Pacific Conference’s Coach of the Year.  Additionally, three of Susan’s players at Dominican were awarded All-American honors and many more were named to the All-Conference teams.   Fun fact: Camp Director, Amanda Estes, played for Susan at Dominican!

Susan has spent almost 20 years coaching youth at all levels in college, club, high school, camps and CYO.  She enjoys watching athletes progress in their development and sharing her love for the game.

Susan earned her B.S. in Marketing from the University of Oklahoma and her California teaching credential from Dominican University.  When not coaching volleyball, she teaches in the San Rafael City School District.

Volleyball is a family affair for the Huffmans.  Her daughter will be playing NCAA Division I volleyball next fall and her husband is a 3-time NCAA Division I All-American and a former member of the USA Men’s Volleyball Team.  She also has a son who enjoys cheering on his big sister.

Sam Bailey

Samantha Bailey has played volleyball for nine years! She played club volleyball for five years and played on the Marin Academy high school team for four years. She now plays for the Women's First Team at the University of St. Andrews in the UK. She has coached a 12's team at Marin Juniors Volleyball Club, and this is her fourth year coaching at the COM camp!
Layla Dunne

She worked as an assistant for Volleystart and a head coach of two teams at the Marin Juniors Too volleyball program for three years. This will be her sixth year coaching at the College of Marin Volleyball Camp and she is so excited! She is in her second year at UC Santa Barbara, and can't wait to be back home to start her summer off with all the campers (old and new)!

Kirsty Star
