Many members belong to small interest groups called Sections. Below is a list of current sections. When members have other interests, new sections are formed. If any of the following are of interest to you, please call that Section chairperson or the General Sections Chairperson. You can find the names and numbers in your yearbook on page 10.

BOOK REVIEW Second Wednesday 12:00 pm Each month a member or a couple of members plan and host the meeting. In the fall we meet at the Canton Women’s Club other times at area libraries, museums or restaurants. Often our speakers talk about books, but sometime local history or other points of interest to the group. We make a book in September with our program and members. You are welcome to visit the section a couple of times as a guest. If you decide to join the dues are $15.00. We are a friendly group that obviously enjoys reading. We hope you’ll consider reading with us!
BRIDGE - THIRD MONDAY Third Monday 12:30 - 3:00 pm Have you been looking for a bridge group? Often bridge sections have a waiting list so now is the time to sign-up. Talk with Shirlee Krane or Eleanor Wallace at the Fall Fete to see what opportunities are available.
CARD MAKING Third Thursday 6:00 pm Get your creative juices flowing and join in the fun of making a card for a special person! The Card Making Section makes a variety of two cards each meeting from birthday to get well to special holiday cards. Bring your scissors, some 2-sided tape and enjoy a fun evening. No experience necessary!
DINNER CLUB First Tuesday 5:30 pm Ten to twenty College Club members meet at various locally owned restaurants. Each month the attendees select next month’s restaurant. Past selections have been The Bistro, John’s Bar, Geisen Haus, and many international venues. This is a great way to get to know other College Club women. Membership in this group does not require a commitment to go to all the meetings. Ask Linda to put you on her calling list and give us a try!
GAME NIGHT Fourth Monday 4:30 - 8:30 pm Do you like to play board games? Do you enjoy camaraderie and light competition? Join us at the Game Night Section. We order from the menu at 4:30 and by 5:45 we start playing play board games, Dominos, Rummy Cube etc. Everyone puts a $1 in the kitty which is split between the night’s winner and loser. This is a great way to get to know 8 to 12 fun loving College Club members
HISTORY SEMINAR Fourth Wednesday 11:00 am We meet at Papa Bear’s unless there is a special program. At 11:00 we order from the menu, have our speaker and then lunch is served at 12:30. Last year our topic was Early Colonial America.

THEATER/ENTERTAINMENT Watch for information during the year.  This is a section in the making. We want to go to shows together and maybe meet before or after for a meal. Perhaps meet other times to discuss or review shows that we have seen. Could we get a backstage tour? So many ideas but the logistics need to be worked out. Be part of creating what may become the best section ever! Sign up and we will meet in the fall to review local theater schedules and plan how to make this happen.
