Palm Stowaway Dvorak keyboard layout

That should be all you need. I am using the dvpalm2.prc with the palm 2.4 efg driver from thinkoutside / mobility electronics.

If you want to make your own:

 Simplified instructions:

Go to his site at www.palmoid.com/laycoder (Laycoder) and download and expand his laycoder utility program.

Once unzipped, you can create a Palm data file of the Dvorak keyboard (I'm calling it dvpalm.pdb but you can use any name) with the following command:

LayCoder c dvpalm.pdb map_03e9.map

As you can see, map_03e9.map is the dvorak keyboard in a text layout.

Download, unzip ConvertKeyMap

Copy dvpalm.pdb into the directory with ConvertKeyMap

type:

ConvertKeyMap dvpalm.pdb UsedFlagsElsieRC1.txt dvpalm2.prc ResultElsie.R

Example:

D:\d\docs\palm\keyboard\ConvertKeyMap>ConvertKeyMap dvpalm.pdb UsedFlagsElsieRC1.txt dvpalm2.prc ResultElsie.R

I got the following warnings:

WARNING: scan code 28 is not generated by the keyboard, but the original keymap has a non-zero entry 0x16 for it, which will be ignored
WARNING: scan code 5a is not generated by the keyboard, but the original keymap has a non-zero entry 0x2 for it, which will be ignored
WARNING: scan code 5b is not generated by the keyboard, but the original keymap has a non-zero entry 0x3 for it, which will be ignored

If you double-click on the resulting dvpalm2.prc file it will be added to the Palm installer. Next time you sync the dvorak keyboard will be added to your already installed Stowaway keyboard sofware on your Palm.
