On Wednesday, October 29th, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, Pittsburg High School and St. Mary's - Colgan students will participate in the 2nd annual Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat in Pittsburg food drive.

This food drive is a service project endorsed by the International Thespian Society.

This food drive was initiated in Pittsburg last year. We decided it was time to give back to the community and here we are for the second year in a row.

Last year, we collected nearly 1000 pounds of food for both Wesley House and the Resource Center (formerly SAFEHOUSE).

We will be hitting the streets on Wednesday, October 29th at approximately 6:00 p.m.  after a brief meeting at St. Mary's-Colgan (this year's headquarters).  We will tackle as many neighborhoods as we can by 8:00 p.m. and then return to Colgan to drop off our supply and take inventory.

PHS thespians will also have boxes stationed at each of the gates at Hutchinson Field on Friday, October 31, for the final PHS home football game against St. Thomas Aquinas for those that would like to bring donations to the game.

For more information, please contact Alice Hilt at St. Mary's Colgan at 620-231-4690, or Stephanie Super at Pittsburg High School at 620-235-3200.
