[CSF]- Don't blame the recession, blame the pathetic Cold Stone Business Model.

The chain's Dearborn location closed shop this week.
West Dearborn shoppers looking for gourmet ice cream will now have to look elsewhere.

Cold Stone Creamery's only Dearborn located closed shop this week. A sign on the door directs customers to the Allen Park location, and cites economic reasons for the closure.

"Due to the recent economy and recession, we have regretfully closed our business," the sign reads.

The owner of the franchised location could not immediately be reached for comment.

The Cold Stone shop was part of the Burton-Katzman Company's West Village Commons development, which has seen several other closures over the past few years, including Rocky Mountain Chocolate Company and Maestro's Restaurant.
