I am a student in Management at University of Witten/Herdecke in Germany. Prior to this I grew up in the lovely northern German Hanseatic city of Rostock and have been living, working and studying in European cities such as London, Munich, Hamburg, Dusseldorf and Paris. I favor to live in urban and diverse cities, as they offer lots of things to explore and you can feel the pulse of the world. The underlying curiosity I like to take into the COINs Course and see what we can find out through cool hunting and possibly brainstorming fresh ideas and solutions.
I hold a B.A. in Business Administrations with specialties in Social Economics and Finance from Hamburg University and I am currently studying in the M.A. General Management at University of Witten/Herdecke.
Before taking on my Bachelor studies in 2006 I have been working with the marketing agency Kingpin Intelligence in London for campaigns of Red Hat and Intel. In 2008 I worked in an Internship for the German Sustainability Award, where we visited and evaluated 30+ corporations about their sustainability performance at A.T. Kearney in Dusseldorf. I have been engaged in oikos International - Students for Sustainable Economics and Management, where I was President of the Hamburg chapter in 2009 and Executive Board Member for oikos International in 2010. I am also engaged at studienaktie.org, a Swiss Social Enterprise for financing educational projects, for which I have been working in their start-up-phase in 2009. This year I worked with Siemens IT Solutions for a new general Financial Engineering Tool. Also I am currently working as a Managing Director at denkleister, a student consultancy.
Currently I wonder most about societal developments, questions of legitimacy for corporate organizational and governmental actions, as well as new business models which address social change and blurring frontiers between social, economic and ethical spheres.
