Bordin Marsinkul was born in San Francisco, California in 1982. It was there that he spent the first six years of his life until he was sent to live in Bangkok, Thailand. While there he resided with his maternal side of the family as he learned more about Thai culture and the Thai language, which was the purpose of his journey.
Bordin has been influenced by many manga artists from Japan and always had a passion for comic books. Traces of his love for comics started out in his early years of school while in Bangkok. When he reached the age of sixteen he returned to the U.S. in order to be reunited with his immediate family, but he never lost his love of art or comics. In 2001 he decided to attend the Academy of Art University in pursuit of becoming an Illustration major. Through his studies and determination he came forth with his first release in 2006, Zacklin. He incorporated his love of brush strokes and calligraphy into his product as well as his translation of the inspiration he received from traditional Japanese mangas. He is currently on his way to building up his reputation with his own style of digital and traditional painting.
