I only publish my research to share my ideas.

I am doing PhD in IT at National University of Science and Technology, Islamabad. I have worked as Research Assistant at Center of Research in Networks and Telecom (CoReNet) at M.A.Jinnah University Islamabad for two years. My research interest is emerging wireless network technologies like cognitive radio networks. Currently, I am working as a Research Assistant in the CogNet Lab at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (SEECS) - NUST where my research area is routing in Cognitive Radio Networks.

Research Interests:

    QoS architecture design for IPv6 networks
    Bluetooth Device Discovery
    Routing in Cognitive radio networks


    I have won the PhD scholarship from H.E.C. Pakistan. During my MS (CS) at M.A. Jinnah University, Islamabad, I won the Dean Honors Award for Spring 2009 on achieving 3.78 GPA.

Current Research:
I am doing research in the area of cognitive radio networks. Cognitive Radios are playing an important role in communication paradigm shift while mitigating the effect of artificial spectrum scarcity caused by the wrong spectrum management policies.   Cognitive radio improves performance and increase the capacity of unlicensed network by opportunistically using the primary user spectrum. It provides the sufficient resources for many emerging applications like video conferencing, multiparty gaming, which could not perform better in wireless environment before. Routing in cognitive radio networks is challenging task due to opportunistic availability of spectrum. Changes in available channel set cause the existing routes to become non workable. We are working to devise the efficient spectrum aware routing protocol for cognitive radio networks.
