Global Education Campus Initiative

Thank you for visiting the Global Education Campus Initiative (GEC) website.

The GEC is an initiative that is purposefully minimally designed in order to be responsive to the continually evolving needs of the College, campus and the varied needs of our external stakeholders. The GEC is not an office, a project or even a program, it is instead a dense and deep network for leveraging internal and external resources in pursuit of broader COEPS strategic priorities. While there are faculty assigned to the GEC, the intention is inclusivity, and goal, providing a dynamic vehicle for all faculty and staff to bring their unique talents and expertise in pursuit of serving our students and the community at large.

Mission Statement

The GEC is an agile platform for cultivating high impact and innovative practices for teaching and learning in the context of the 21st century, globally-interconnected world. As an initiative, the GEC is committed to creating a culture of collaboration, locally and globally, to thoughtfully consider the application of next generation learning models across the spectrum of lifelong learning.

On this website you will be able to find information about GEC activities (past and present) and professional development opportunities.
