Bit Adapter - 1/4" to 1/4" - Turn Any Ratchet Into a Driver!
You might have hundreds of driver bits on your workbench - flat-head, Phillips, Torx, tamper-proof, Pozi, hex - but what do you do when you need to use those drivers with an air ratchet/wrench or your regular socket ratchet handles? Some common bits are available as socket drivers but many of the more exotic versions are not - plus you usually need to buy an entire set to get the one bit you need. This great little adapter is worth it's weight in gold (even at current gold prices!) because it pays for itself many-times over; now any bit on your bench with a standard 1/4" hex-shaft (99+% of all driver bits) can be used with any air, power or hand tool with 1/4" anvil or reducer. Bits held in place with spring-tension ball bearing; fast & easy bit swaps. So handy and useful you'll want extras for work and home.
Project "Dream" - Things I want to do before turning 35. Burn some fuel (6/7)!
About Project "Dream" -- There are a few things that everyone dreams of or wishes to do at some point in their life. Over the next 7 days, I will be telling you about some of the things that I wish to do before I turn 35! 6/7 Burn some fuel There are certain things that our parents asked not to do ever! Petroleum products are Highly inflammable. No matches at gas stations. Do not bring any source of ignition near the fuel storage and handling areas. Gas vapours are heavier than air ... and can travel long distances to an ignition source. It is the vapour, not the liquid, which burns. Blah blah! How about a little fun... just a little bit of non-destructive fun? :) 5/7 Hangover Get drunk on Absinthe, silver tequila or whatever. Try Haschish at least once. 4/7 Learn Cooking All my life, I have found cooking to be the most uninteresting and one of the toughest things to do. KC is a foodie - and I really wish to cook for him - before 35 for sure! I see a big smile on his face! Full of Hope or sarcasm -- I don't know! : ) 3/7 Start my desiGn studio Since my school, I wanted to become a fashion designer. As I grew up, there was pressure from my folks to become an Engg. / Doctor etc etc. I knew that I couldn't study that much - but still managed to take Mathemathics & Economics in college and got a good percentage too (surprisingly!). My parents were happy and somehow I was too. And then, I wasn't very keen on taking up design ! I got into the corporate world - totally unplanned - got a good job with a decent salary. It kept me happy for a few years but not any more. And now "Design" has re-entered my life! Even if I'm not able to do half of what I dream of - but I take "design" very seriously. If not before 35 - atleast in this life for sure! 2/7 Buy an SUV Second on my list is to buy an SUV. Oh, it doesn't end here. I want to drive at more than 200mph drunk and get lost somewhere. Is that too much to dream of? : ) I guess not. My SUV options - BMW X5, Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7 - any suggestions? 1/7 Travel the world The first one is to travel the world. Not the typical touristy trail but explore the unknown, understand a new culture, learn a new language and make new friends. Watch this space for more of me :)

Victor Gama, playing one of his own instruments based upon traditional African designs and performing with Turn to the Traveler at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, South Africa, 5 July 2009. The video backgrounds by film maker James Taylor were an integral part of the performance which "takes you through transitional spaces at the border crossings of the Oshikango, Tsodillo and Kavango Rivers, to experience a fictional realism, where old-school definitions no longer represent the actualities of Africa on the ground." (From programme notes by Julia Raynham)

In January 2003, Kenya was hailed as a model of democracy after the peaceful election of its new president, Mwai Kibaki. By appointing respected longtime reformer John Githongo as anticorruption czar, the new Kikuyu government signaled its determination to end the corrupt practices that had tainted the previous regime. Yet only two years later, Githongo himself was on the run, having secretly compiled evidence of official malfeasance throughout the new administration. Unable to remain silent, Githongo, at great personal risk, made the painful choice to go public. The result was a Kenyan Watergate.
Michela Wrong's account of how a pillar of the establishment turned whistle-blower—becoming simultaneously one of the most hated and admired men in Kenya—grips like a political thriller while probing the very roots of the continent's predicament.
