  • an entertaining talk by Bill Savage (Northwestern University) titled "From Gaslight to Neon: A History of Rush Street Nightlife," and

All proceeds from Cocktails on Rush will support the Chicago Metro History Fair, the core educational program of CMHEC. The History Fair serves nearly 20,000 students and 400 teachers each year. Schools from across the city and suburbs participate in the History Fair, with approximately two-thirds of its participants coming from low-income backgrounds.

Support for Cocktails on Rush helps CMHEC keep its costs low in order to ensure that all students can benefit from the History Fair experience.
