We are a group of women coming together to improve our community,
locally, nationally and internationally in a spirit of fellowship and
friendship.
We participate in projects pertaining to Domestic Violence prevention, Arts in the Community, Conservation-Beautification and Resource Management, Literacy, Lifelong Learning, Helping Hands in the Community, Women’s Finance, Reaching Out Internationally. United Nations, Citizenship, Community Safety and Empowering Women.
In 2007, the club worked on 169 projects for a total of 2,769 volunteer hours.
Clubwomen are encouraged to select a area of work where their interest lies. There is something for everyone.
The six departments of work are as follows: Arts Department, Conservation Department, Education Department, Home Life Department, International Affairs Department, and Public Affairs Department.
Other areas of involvement include Community Improvement, Leadership Development, Legislation and Tallulah Falls School (owned and operated by the Georgia Federation since 1909).
Cobb Woman’s Club is part of the Georgia Federation of Women’s Clubs (www.gafwc.org) and General Federation of Women’s Clubs (www.gfwc.org)
We meet monthly on the second Tuesday of the month, 7-9 p.m. at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Busbee Parkway. We encourage you to visit anytime.
