How to Join the Cleanup

International Coastal Cleanup is an event where you and your friends, neighbors, family, and colleagues will have a remarkable experience of camaraderie of removing trash and marine debris from beaches/shorelines, waterways and underwater sites. Come and join the 30th ICC which will be held globally on September 16, 2017, Saturday.  

For Individuals and Small Group/Organization:

  1. Register at our website using the  SIGNUP TO CLEANUP FORM
  2. You can send us an email to signify your interest to join and would like to request a formal invitation to the ICC event.
  3. Browse through our website to learn more about ICC, How to Organize a Cleanup,  Orientation Slideshows, Trash Data Recording and ICC Guidelines.
  4. If you are the coordinator of a group or organization, you can conduct your own orientation using the information and presentations downloadable at the website. 
  5. For Metro Manila, check website for updates on the cleanup sites. For  a local cleanup site outside Metro Manila, ask /coordinate with your Provincial/City Environmental offices (PENRO/CENRO), local government, any civic action group, academic institutions and diving group who will be participating in the ICC
  6. Submit by email, the list of your group members who will be participating as early as possible or two weeks before ICC Day for area assignment.  
  7. For small group/organization in Metro Manila, you will be notified to attend the ICC Coordinators general meetings to discuss status on the preparation activities.
  8. There is no registration fee. Just come on ICC Day with your net bag or sack, rubber gloves, ball pen and Volunteer Ocean Trash Data Form.
  9. Registration starts at 6:00 am. Cleanup proper will be from 7:30-11:00 am.

For ICC Coordinators (have more than 100 members or several groups):

  1. Register your organization at this website using the  SIGNUP TO CLEANUP FORM
  2. You can send us an email to signify your interest to join and would like to request a formal invitation to the ICC event.
  3. For Metro Manila,  Cleanup Sites are posted at the website. For  a local cleanup site outside Metro Manila, ask /coordinate with your Provincial/City Environmental offices (PENRO/CENRO), local government, any civic action group, academic institutions and diving group who will be participating in the ICC. Some cleanup sites are listed at the website.
  4. Browse through our website to learn more about ICC, How to Organize a Cleanup, Trash Data Recording and ICC Guidelines.
  5. Organize your network of volunteers and  may start with your own orientation using the Slideshows and other information downloadable at our website. You can modify the presentations to suit your organization
  6. Submit by email, the list of members who will be participating as early as possible or two weeks before ICC Day for area assignment.  The final list shall be submitted at the Registration Area on ICC Day.
  7. For Coordinators of organizations/ schools in Metro Manila, you will be notified to attend the ICC Partners meetings to discuss status on the preparation activities.
