  • End of a Great Season

    The team ended their season yesterday. The team captured the CAC League title with an undefeated league record and an overall record of 11-5-4. Their record put them as the third seed in the MIAA Division 3 tournament and gave them a bye in the first. The team lost a well-played game against Triton with a score of 1-0. Playing a strong defensive game for the team was Meaghan Teehan, Nicole Kopacz, Katie McLaren, Darien Lavino, and Jackie Farraher. Playing goal for the team was Janina Kennedy. Janina and the defense had eleven shutous this season. Congratulation to the entire team for a great season and another CAC League title.

  • Mystic Tie

    After a hard fought game the Girls’ Soccer team tied Mystic Valley 1-1 on Wednesday. The one goal for Shawsheen was scored by Lisa Ferreri. Others who played well for the team were defenders Michelle Farraher and Meaghan Teehan and forwards Nicole Woodward, Kaleigh Gammon, Kim Hayes and Yvete Simoes. The team faces Wilmington on Monday here at Shawsheen.

  • String of Ties
    Notre Dame Tyngsborough tied the girls’ soccer team last Thursday 1-1.  NDT scored first and it wasn't until the start of the second half when Emily Irwin scored the tying goal off a corner kick.  It was a well-played game by both teams. 

    On Columbus Day the team faced Lowell High School, it was a very hard fought game played by both teams which resulted in a 0-0 tie.  Janina Kennedy had her best game of the season making several key saves to hold off the Lowell team. In front of Janina, playing defense was Meaghan Teehan, Jackie and Michelle Farraher, Katie McLaren, Darien Lavino, and Nichole Kopacz. Also playing well were Lynne Snook, Yvete Simoes, and Kaliegh Gammon with some challenging shots on the Lowell keeper.  The team's next game is Saturday verse North Shore Tech at 4:00 in Danvers.
