I have lived in my new apartment for 6 months now. I have this fridge that I can't set below a 2 because my meat and dairy spoils. If I set it on two stuff freezes but not everything. I bought a thermometer to check it. At night it will read 38 or 39 but in the morning when I open the door it reads below 32 degrees. Yesterday morning my gallon of milk was frozen. It was sitting on the left top shelf. The maintenance men have adjusted it several times, changed the refrigerator thermometer, and today they changed the freezer thermometer at around 3 this afternoon. Later this evening evening I was cooking dinner and got this bottle of hot sauce out of the fridge and it exploded in my hand. Didn't get hurt but now I have a big red spot on the floor. The bottle of sauce was in the door. A month or so ago I had a bottle of olive oil in the door and it froze solid.

Harvest International volunteer Dustin Shell(cq) stacks boxes of spoiled lettuce Wednesday, July 21, 2010. All of the charities freezers and refrigerators, which were donated used 15-20 years ago, are failing. Gregory Dewbrew, the charities founder, said that they had managed to install a new compressor and evaporator coils in one of the units Tuesday night, but that the three other freezers and refrigerators where unable to stay cool. They are also using a refrigerated trailer as a temporary measure until a permanent solution can be found. Special to the Star-Telegram/Brandon Wade 7/21/10
