We are always looking for potential new members to welcome to our ranks.

The Choir has around 45 members, drawn from Chippenham and the surrounding area. We sing in four part harmony (top tenor, second tenor, baritone and bass) , and perform from a large, varied and constantly updated library of contemporary and traditional music, ranging from Welsh hymns to arias from grand opera to pop classics and easy listening pieces. Our style is to enjoy our singing and strive to reciprocate the same reaction from our audiences. To achieve this there are some performance disciplines to which we adhere, but otherwise camaraderie prevails.

We welcome participants from all abilities, with wide or no experience of group singing, and able to read music or not. There is no rigid audition procedure. All we require is that choir members  join to enjoy the experience of singing and performing together with good humour, and to give enjoyment and entertainment  to our audiences.

The choir meets for rehearsals every Monday evening throughout the year (except for a summer break in July/August ) in St. Peters Church, Frogwell, SN14 0LL. (see Rehearsal Details ). These rehearsals  also provide an opportunity for socializing before, after and in the half-time refreshment break. There are usually around thirty or so members at each rehearsal.

In the current ( 2018/19 year) , the Choir will have performed at 16 concerts in different venues across the county at the invitation of a wide variety of different organizations, mostly to help raise funds for their causes, and , culminating (as it does every year) in our sell–out Christmas Cracker Concert in Chippenham which is the choir’s own fund-raising event .
