At Carroll Middle School, TIGERS TIME is a very important component of the Instructional Decision Making model (IDM) focusing on reading instruction for every student. Each day during a thirty-minute period of TIGERS TIME, CMS teachers present reading instruction to a specific group of students. By using multiple sources of individual student reading data, students are grouped according to reading instruction that has the highest probability of promoting student success, in turn, raising student achievement in reading. Each month of the school year, three CMS teachers will write an article, including pictures for the CMS Tiger Newsletter. Each teacher will share information on “what’s happening” in his/her Tiger’s classroom. We hope you enjoy reading the CMS Tiger Newsletter!
