CM style high school transcript

This is a sample transcript based on the ones we use for our own students; It is a non traditional transcript - even for home educators :-).  But hey, we are already out of the box with homeschooling and even further out of the mainstream by applying Charlotte Mason philosophy!

We have submitted our students' transcript in this style to quite a few schools - they were accepted by all institutions some of which are: Hillsdale (MI), Grove City (PA), Moody Bible (IL), Cedarville (OH), Cornerstone (IA), Grace College (IN), Northwestern Christian St. Paul (MN), Southwest Baptist (MO).  The schools vary in academic requirements for entry and some are more scholastic than others.  Hillsdale is the only secular school (has an amazing history dpt, but Grove City does too).  The next student has a ministry major... For each University, I only gave them the Cover Page, Course Description & Extra Curricular Description along with the Transcript - no credits or grades listed, only a GPA for scholarship purposes.  No one ever wanted to see the text summary or complete listing or asked for grades or support for the GPA.  As a matter of fact, Hillsdale asked us please not to send the text list even though it says to in the home school guidelines; it would obligate him to read through way too many pages! Not all of these universities are liberal arts schools; and some schools who are listed as a Liberal Arts University - are not.  The easiest clue I have found is just to wonder through the book store section where the student books are stacked by course readings.  Dead give away.  I felt right at home in the Hillsdale book store - my family had to drag me out of that one :-).  I am sure there are others - I would love to hear about them; maybe we can make a running list!

This is an UNOFFICIAL version for the Ambleside Online/ House of Education Online Curriculum years.  It is made for you to be able to use as a template.  You must personalize it for your student.  It has all the books as of 2011 (I think) that are listed from years 7-11 and the unofficial year 12.  You should go through and update it for the years and texts you actually used.  Add the books you changed and added in each section; delete those you didn't use! I may update it by next year since I have one more to graduate out next spring.
