CV and Resume Writing Workshop
Thursday, October 9, 2014: 9:30-11 am HST / 12:30 - 2 pm PDT / 3:30 - 5 pm EDT
Guest Speaker: Robert Dolan, MIT Professional Development / Career Counselor
Organizer: Dr. Sara J. Bender (sbender@whoi.edu)

The goal of the workshop was to learn how to build an effective CV and a strong resume, for academic and industry positions.  We covered the importance of behavioral assets, such as collaboration and leadership skills, in addition to technical assets, and we learned methods of showcasing these skills so that your CV or resume can survive the initial "ten-second scan" for you to be considered for an interview.
