Anil Kapoor

Professor of Medicine, People’s College of Medical Sciences & Research Centre,Bhopal (M.P.)

I did my graduation and post graduation in Medicine (1990) from Gajra Raja Medical College, Gwalior. I sharpened my clinical skills as Senior resident at Dr. R.M.L. Hospital, New Delhi and underwent 3 months training in department of ‘Endocrinology and Metabolism’ at AIIMS, New Delhi. Subsequently I joined Pramukh Swami Medical College, Karamsad, Gujarat where I served for 11 years. In 2006, I moved to Bhopal and joined People’s College of Medical Sciences as a Professor of Medicine. The turning point in my teaching career came in 2007 when I attended my first Teacher’s training program conducted by none other than Dr. D.K. Srinivas sir! I realized that not only I need to refine my teaching skills but also contribute in the field of Medical Education – an important yet overlooked area. Since then I have attended many teachers training programmes and participated in conducting basic teachers training workshops for faculty development.  I am an active member of the Medical Education Unit and various other committees of our institute. Presently, I am involved in teaching of MBBS, BDS and BPT students.       I have learned to be an active lifelong learner. I have been attending workshops, conferences and seminars on regular basis. I love to spend my free time with my family –  Anju (my wife and Professor of Paediatrics) , Ananya (daughter), Aditya (son), listen to music and watch comedy serials.

Dinesh Kumar

I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the PG Department of Community Medicine, Govt. Medical College Jammu. I did my MD Community Medicine from AIIMS, Delhi in 1994 after completing MBBS from GMC Jammu.   All through these years I have the good fortune of working with some great teachers and colleagues who have truly enriched my life. Hardly ever in my life I have not been able to complete the task I have endeavored to finish albeit at a relatively slower pace. Slow upward direction in my career graph is indicative of sureness which I think is a function of hard work and perseverance. I am a good subordinate in spite of being aggressive and proactive. I have contributed to the growth of my institution by being a small part in many positive actions that have happened in the last one and half decade in GMC Jammu. The thrust areas where I have contributed include teaching research methodology, cancer research, and trainings.  The contribution has been multifaceted even though modest. I love listening to music; am a movie buff; a games affectionate and loves to read literature and philosophy. Also I am a complete family person and love to spend leisure time with family.
