Super 8 film clip from our wedding video - from our wonderful videographer David Bettencourt.
This is seriously the best two minutes of the video :) p.s. It's better with sound :)

The guys...

My handsome groom

He just had to take a pic with his precious car

Apparently Justin didn't get the memo about not smiling :)

Formals

 Our "reveal"

We did most of our pictures before the ceremony, I am so glad we did! Notice the cheesetasic grin, that pretty much stayed on my face all day.

Here I come!

Here I am!

One of my favorite pics

Our kick-ass bridal party

The Ceremony

Our ceremony was perfect, our reverend was amazing, and I couldn't stop crying the whole time!

Trying desperatley to keep it together...

Ready to go... this is where I lose it!

See, I lost it - here is my ugly cry face :)

Still crying...

Trying to make it through the vows

Almost there...

Kiss!

I love the look on my jr. BM's faces, they look terrified!

YAY!

Good shot of my bouquet

My mom, she cried the whole time too :)

With our parents and siblings

The reception

First, some details

We had candles, branches, rose petals and pics of our family on the mantle,
this is the only good pic of it all.

Our first dance to Bon Jovi, Make a Memory

Bridal party singing along, and a good shot of my bustle

The dip! Captured by my mom

Dancing with my dad, we laughed the whole time

Todd with his mom, much more sentimental :)
By the way, the lighting- best decision we made, demonstrated here :)

Impromptu dance by the bride and groom, Todd's friend "dedicated a special song to us",
yeah, it was Rumpshaker :)

This next series shows how little fun we had, seriously, no fun at all!

Ok, back to formalities...
Our most beautious, wonderful, delicious cake!

Toasts... my MOH gave the sweetest toast, she was so afraid she was going to freak and not be able
to do it! It's quite unfortunate that I can hardly remember it! Thank god for video!

AFB represent!

Friends!

My adorable cousin/ ringerbearer who never made it down the aisle!

My parents- how cute!

Grandma and grandpa still got it!

My new BIL & SIL

We snuck off for a few more pics alone at the end of the night

Vendor Reviews

We were really lucky and happy with all of our vendors - but it took a lot of research and planning on my part! I would recommend any of them!

Venue: The Nashawtuc Country Club, ConcordMA – A

We were so pleased with the Nashawtuc.  The club is gorgeous and the food is delicious! The catering manager Shawn was easy to work with and did a great job on the wedding day.  The prices are pretty reasonable for a beautiful New England Country Club.  And they will do events for non-members.  Highly recommended!

Church- Wellesley Congregational Church, Reverend Kaji Spellman

How do you rate a church? J  My BIL & SIL were married at the same church 3 years ago, it is an absolutely gorgeous church!  Reverend Spellman was great to work with!  We put a lot of thought into our ceremony, but she made it even better! People couldn’t stop telling us how great the ceremony was.

Photographers – Tirado Photography – A++

What can I say about Rene & Melissa that I haven’t already said?  We met them over a year from our wedding and they have been fabulous to work with ever since, they are really friends to us now.  They really get to know their couples and it shows.  Their work is fabulous!

DJ – Erik Buford, Event Experience Music – A+

Erik was great!! People were dancing all through dinner, our coordinators kept wanting him to get people to be seated, but he couldn’t help it! J  The dance floor was packed all night.  People raved about what a great mix of music he played.  He did miss a few songs that I wanted played, but, whatever, it didn’t make a difference. He was great to work with leading up to the wedding to, always there to answer your questions.

Florist – Lyndsey Loring Designs – A-/B+

Lyndsey is very sweet and great to work with.  Her prices are great!  Our centerpieces came out great, pretty much what I was expecting.  I was a little disappointed in mine and my BM’s bouquets, they were a little different than what I was expecting – maybe I just didn’t communicate enough exactly what I wanted – regardless, they were still great!

Cake – Icing on the Cake – A+

One word: Yummy!! We loved our cake! It was so good! Came out exactly how I was expecting it! Paula was great to work with and really knows her stuff.  Bonus- they will give you a cake on your first anniversary as long as you provide them with a picture of your cake.

Lighting – Boston Uplights – A+

I decided 5 days before the wedding to contact Paul at Boston Uplights – so glad I did!! I was in touch with him much earlier in the planning stages, but we just didn’t have the money in the budget.  Well, our guest count came in lower than expected, so we had lighting! Best decision I could have made! It totally transformed the ballroom, it looked amazing.  The best part, a technician is at the wedding all night controlling the lights through dinner, dancing, etc.

Videographer – David Bettencourt – A (pending video)

I had such a hard time finding a videographer that I liked at a decent price! I finally found David about 4 months out from my wedding. Luckily our date was one of the few he had open, I was able to work with him on the price too.  He’s been great to work with! He uses super 8 and 16mm film – I am dying to see the video!

Day-of Coordinator – Events By Something Blue – A-

I was so glad to have Heather and Amanda there on the wedding day.  They didn’t really do much for me in advance of the wedding, but it was nice to have someone there on the wedding day to think of the things that you don’t have time to think about – and to have someone to turn to to ask what the heck are we supposed to do now J

Rentals – Encore Party Rentals – A

We rented linens and chivari chairs from Encore.  No issues, prices were great, and the linens were gorgeous!

Reception “stationary” – Smashing Cards – A

We got our place cards, table numbers, menus, and favor tags from Smashing Cards.  I really wanted all of this to coordinate and didn’t want to do it myself! Prices were pretty good and everything came out great!  She’s local to!

Calligraphy – A Fine Letter – A+

You can’t beat calligraphy for 25 cents an envelope!  (for the fine penmanship option) No issues and they looked awesome!

Hair – Eye 4 Beauty (Jaime Berkman) – A

Lynn did mine and my bridesmaids hair, came out great, it did start falling out a bit at the end of the night, but I think my recently cut shorter layers contributed to that!  Prices are pretty good too, but high for the bride.

Wedding Gown – La Riene, Waltham

Not sure how to rate this one, I bought my sample Reem Acra from the since fired Kevin at La Reine so I never really dealt with any other staff or the ordering process.  But I got a gorgeous gown that I would never have afforded at retail price.  Definitely check out sample gowns if you are the right size.

Alterations – Chris O’Hare – A+

Another rave for Chris.  She is a sweetheart and charges next to nothing for what she does!  My dress got stepped on many times on the dance floor and my bustle stayed completely intact!

BM dresses – RK Bridal – A

We saved about $70 by ordering the girls dresses from RK Bridal.  No issues, and the order came in on time.

Tuxes – Men’s Warehouse – B+

Three tuxes had issues and needed items to be changed.  Try them on at the store when they pick them up!

Shuttle – AA Metro Transportation (Bridgewater) – A

55 passenger bus – it was on time, no issues, they beat my lowest quote – perfect!

Limo- Boston’s Limos (Chelmsford) – A

We had a 14 passenger excursion, best price I found!  It was on time, clean, and the driver was great! No complaints!

Jewelry, Veil, Accessories, etc –

Earrings from Anna Bellagio – loved them!  Nine West shoes – they were actually very comfortable! Pink clutch from ebay seller Closet Affair – love it! Veil – cathedral length drop veil – I bought it from another knottie, but it came from Occasney Designs.

DIY - Me! A++!

Of course I give myself an A+ J I DIY’d my invites, save the dates, and favors. My invites were a lot of work, but I love the way they came out and got so many compliments on them!  Supplies came from Cards and Pockets and Paper and More. Designed by me in Illustrator (I'm available for design services as well).  Save the dates were made with supplies from Paper Source and adhesive magnets from Staples.  Our favors were two big cookies from the Roche Bros bakery. I purchased candy bags from AC Moore ($1.69 for 30!) stuck a favor tag on them and tied them with a ribbon.  Really simple and yummy!
