Charles Ofosu Marfo
is an Associate Professor at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. He is
currently the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences (FoSS), College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CoHSS). He is also the current President of Linguistics Association of Ghana (LAG) and the Vice-President of the KNUST branch of the University Teachers' Association of Ghana (UTAG).

Prof. Charles Marfo attended the University of Ghana, Legon-Accra, where he read Linguistics and Philosophy for his B.A. degree with Linguistics major. He further pursued and received M.Phil in Theoretical Linguistics (with a concentration on Phonology and morpho-Syntax within the Government and Binding and the Minimalist theories and further in the Optimality Theoretic framework) from the University of Tromsø in Norway. He has also obtained Ph.D in Linguistics (specializing in Theoretical Linguistics, particularly in Phonology and Syntax and their interfaces within the Lexical-Functional Grammar theory) from the University of Hong Kong.

Prof. Charles Marfo enjoys teaching and does research on various aspects of language, linguistics and communication. He is also a friend to the media. Indeed, he enjoys commenting on socio-political issues, particularly on radio.
