Clyst Hydon Pool is a Community pool, run by a group of willing volunteers who maintain the pool and it's grounds and supervise the pool during swimming sessions. Major repair works were completed in June 2002. These photographs give you an idea of the hard work that was undertaken by the committee and village volunteers.

Clyst Hydon swimming pool is now looking beautiful again, nestling deep in the idyllic Devon countryside amidst the surrounding rolling hills. Birds and butterflies often visit the pool for a refreshing drink.
It is an outdoor pool ideal for a summer swim and picnic.
We are open to the public from May/June to September each year with sessions from 4:00pm - 5:30pm and 5:30pm - 7:00pm everyday (supervisors permitting), together with 2:30pm - 4:00pm sessions in the school holidays.
We run with the help of a band of volunteer supervisors who turn up at the beginning of each session.

Day or season membership can be purchased.
We have a swimming Gala for the children every year, open to all members, with a variety of cups just waiting to be won,
we hold a "breakfast and swim" fund raising morning where we offer a full English fried breakfast in the grounds of the pool.
