I am a senior researcher at NEC Laboratories America. I work at the intersection of networking, systems, and data analysis. I love to measure, analyze, and understand computer systems and networks to identify opportunities for improving operations, security, and design. I worked with data centers, the Internet, social networks, software-defined networks, and cyberphysical systems.

I have a PhD in Computer Science from University of Maryland, College Park and a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering from Politehnica University of Bucharest. I grew up in Craiova, Romania.
