Welcome!

We are a volunteer puppy raising club for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Our members live in Duvall, Sammamish, Maple Valley, Renton, Redmond, Kirkland, Woodinville, and Cle Elum, Washington. Our club was started in October of 2002. Our club meets twice a month on Monday evenings.
We meet in Redmond or Woodinville and the surrounding areas.  As a puppy raising club we receive the puppies when they are 8 to 12 weeks old. For the next 12 months or so we socialize and work on obedience with our puppies. They remain in our homes until they are approximately 15 to 18 months old, and then are returned to Guide Dogs for the Blind's campus in Boring Oregon.  There they receive  another 3 to 5 months of training, working in harness with professional trainers. After they complete this training, they are ready to be paired up with their partner and become working guides!

If you would like more information about our club, where and when we meet, please email Melissa at melissbarn@gmail.com
We are always looking for volunteers to raise puppies.
