Colleagues-

Attached is a poster announcing the Eleventh Annual Environmental Law Essay Contest sponsored by the Environmental Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. This student writing competition provides a great opportunity for law students to investigate an environmental law topic of interest to Michigan lawyers, get a qualifying essay published, and perhaps earn a generous monetary award.  As noted in the announcement, the writing competition pays awards of $2,000, $1,000, and $500 to the top three winners.

If you would like to see examples of past winning essays, you can find them in back issues of the Michigan Environmental Law Journal on the Environmental Law Section's page of the SBM
 website at
www.michbar.org
.   Two of last year's winners will be published in the Fall 2011 issue, which should be posted on the website in the next week or two.

Thanks,
Noah
